What are you involved with at University of Pittsburgh?
I have a long-term interest in improving medical/graduate education/outreach and have worked on the med school and MSTP curriculum committees, Curriculum Reform Student Advisory Group, and Social Medicine Student Advisory Group. I am also part of our MSTP’s APSA chapter and have co-organized an APSA webinar series to help MD-PhD and DO-PhD applicants navigate the application process.

Different career in another life?
At one time, I had thought about becoming a journalist! Still hope to do work in sci comm though.

Biggest passion outside academia?
Health justice and political activism. Legislative actions profoundly intersect with medicine and science--physicians and scientists have a role to play!
