Kenta is currently doing his PhD in the Division of Rheumatology & Clinical Immunology, where he is studying the functions of RNA-binding proteins in T cells that drive auto- and allo-immunity. In particular, he is using a murine model of graft-versus-host disease (GvHD) which is a major complication following bone marrow transplant, to study the functions of RNA-binding proteins in T cell-mediated disease. Techniques such as in vivo modeling of inflammatory disease, spectral flow cytometry, and immunoprecipitation methods are used to study these research questions.
